The Tackroom: First English Saddle for RedM Horses

The Tackroom is an equestrian RedM server, and English riders finally have a reason to call the place home. For years, English riders across RedM equipped the McLellan saddle and pretended, because no server shipped real English tack. The Tackroom ends the workaround. Working with Mistilteinn, an amazing community member, we built and released the Mistwood collection, the first equippable, usable, functional English saddle in Red Dead Redemption 2 and RedM as far as we have seen. Your horse wears real English tack now, and the whole build lives on one server designed around horses from the ground up.

What The Tackroom is

The Tackroom builds for players who take horses seriously. The server runs deep horse breeding with real genetics, so your bloodlines carry traits across generations and your choices shape the herd you raise. You hunt, fish, gather herbs, and work the economy for money. You buy real estate and settle your own piece of the map. You bounty hunt, join events, and grow through progressive XP systems tied to the work you put in. Every system feeds the same goal, giving horse people a full environment to ride through and build a life on. The Mistwood saddle fits this world, because The Tackroom treats tack, breeding, and horses as the center of the experience, not an afterthought. Horses are not just a vehicle in The Tackroom, they are a companion. New riders find a server where the horse is the point, and the English saddle is another piece to the puzzle of proof of how far we go for the people who join TTR.

The English saddle problem every RedM rider knows

For years, English riders on RedM servers made do. You picked the McLellan, squinted, and pretended. The saddle read as Western. The fit was wrong. Your character looked like a cavalry trooper, not a show rider, an eventer, or a dressage professional. No RedM server shipped a real English saddle for English riders to equip and ride, and players kept begging for one. Up to this point, the community believed real English tack was impossible. Riders who love dressage, jumping, and English pleasure work deserve gear shaped for the sport. A Western saddle on an English horse breaks the whole look, so every screenshot showed the wrong tack and every ride felt like a compromise. The Tackroom ends the compromise with the Mistwood.

Meet the Mistwood collection

The Mistwood started with a conversation. Mistilteinn reached out, we talked through the idea, and a chance experiment worked. We named the result the Mistwood collection for The Tackroom. Hand modeling matters here. A hand built saddle carries correct English lines, a proper seat, and flaps shaped for English riding, down to details close enough to smell the fresh oiled leather. Off-the-shelf assets and Western reskins never match the silhouette English riders know. The Mistwood was drawn, shaped, and finished for one purpose, English tack on a Tackroom RedM horse, done right. The line comes in three saddles, each shaped for a different rider.

Mistwood All-Purpose

The all-purpose fits daily riding, trail work, chores, and long rides across the map. A balanced saddle for riders who want one dependable option for most situations. Start here if you ride a bit of everything and want a saddle for every part of the day.

Mistwood Sport

The sport runs cleaner and leaner, a trimmed profile for riders who want a sharper look on a fast horse. Reach for the sport when you want a modern, athletic English build under your character and a saddle shaped for speed.

Mistwood Ornate

The ornate is the dressed-up saddle, with extra detail and finish for riders who want to stand out at events, shows, and community gatherings. The ornate suits players who treat every ride as an occasion and want their tack to show off.

Customize the Mistwood in the Sire Stable

Every Mistwood model takes your colors through tack customization inside the Sire Stable. You equip the saddle in the stable, match the leather to your kit, your character, and your horse, and ride out with a setup nobody else runs the same way. Two riders on the same model still look distinct on the field. Customization keeps your horse yours, not a shared template, and rewards the time you spend building a look for your rider. The Tackroom gives you the tools, and your horse becomes a signature nobody else on the server carries.

Why the Mistwood matters for The Tackroom

The Mistwood gives English riders a real home on The Tackroom. English disciplines join the Western majority as a supported style, not a workaround, and riders who felt overlooked now have proper tack built for them. The saddle sits alongside breeding, genetics, real estate, hunting, bounty hunting, beekeeping and herbalism as one more reason horse people pick The Tackroom over other servers. When a server invests in tack this specific, the message to players is simple. Your niche matters here, the team listens, and the people behind the server build for the way you want to play.

Why the Mistwood matters for RedM

No other RedM server offers a working English saddle, as far as we know. The Mistwood gives RedM equestrian players something the wider scene has never had, and English riders who left other servers for lack of real tack now have a reason to ride with The Tackroom. For a community built on horses, real English tack is a milestone. Equestrian gaming in Red Dead Redemption 2 grows when servers ship real gear instead of makeshift stand-ins. The Mistwood shows what a horse-focused RedM server delivers when a modeler builds for the community, and The Tackroom plans to keep building on the horse experience players came here for.

Ride with The Tackroom

The Mistwood collection lives on The Tackroom, and so does the deepest horse system in RedM. Join the server, spawn your horse, equip the Mistwood in the Sire Stable, and ride the first true English saddle for RedM horses. Breed your bloodlines, work the economy, settle your land, and put your English rider on tack built for the sport. The Tackroom was made for horse people, by horse people, and your rider has waited long enough.
