RedM Custom Horses: Bringing the Spotted Draft, Hanoverian & Quarter Horse to Life on The Tackroom

RedM Custom Horses: Bringing the Spotted Draft, Hanoverian & Quarter Horse to Life on The Tackroom

If you’ve been searching for RedM custom horses that go beyond just reskins — welcome home. At The Tackroom, we’re proud to highlight our first three exclusive custom breed models made specifically for our RedM server: the Spotted Draft Horse, Hanoverian, and American Quarter Horse.

These new horses are the result of months of development, care, and community-centered design. We wanted to go deeper than just appearances. Each of these custom horse models in RedM was shaped by hand, designed with love, and built to give players more immersion and personality than ever before.

What Makes The TTR Custom Horses Special?

Unlike many other horse mods for RedM, these breeds weren’t given a simple texture swap, or downloaded from Nexus. We didn’t just tweak the height of an existing model and call it new. Every horse you see was handcrafted by our dev team with intention and authenticity.

We invested significant time create completely new silhouettes. Using real-life reference photos and breed standards, we carefully reshaped features from muzzle to croup to hooves — refining head shapes, toplines, muscle definition, and conformation to make each model feel like a true representation of its breed.

Despite the extensive visual changes, these models maintain the original RedM rigging and animations, keeping them fully server-compatible and performance-friendly, while delivering a brand-new visual experience that sets a new bar for custom horses in RedM.

Meet the Custom Breeds

Each of these RedM custom horse breeds was chosen for a reason. We wanted to offer a mix of disciplines, playstyles, and personality — all with realistic details that horse lovers will appreciate.

  • Spotted Draft Horse – A bold, broad-shouldered draft breed with eye-catching coat patterns. Designed for those who want a working horse with a big presence and gentle spirit.

  • Hanoverian – This elegant warmblood is perfect for riders who want a refined, athletic look. Ideal for competitive playstyles and show-stopping presence.

  • Quarter Horse – A western icon. Stocky, smart, and built for speed and versatility. Whether you’re reining, roping, or roaming, this custom Quarter Horse has you covered.

These aren’t just horses — they’re your companions for every roleplay, ranch ride, and arena run.

Realistic Coats, Handpicked for Each Breed

After sorting through countless real-world coat styles, our team made it a priority to select options that felt both authentic to each breed and versatile for player customization. We didn’t just want pretty coats — we wanted coats that gave players creative freedom.

For each breed, we chose patterns and colors that reflect actual breed standards, but we also designed with flexibility in mind. Many coats were created in ways that allow players to:

  • Use a patterned coat as a realistic solid base, for a more subtle look

  • Explore reverse variations, giving the same pattern a totally fresh twist

  • Create horses that feel unique, while still staying grounded in realism

Whether you’re aiming for a classic show-ring style or something that stands out on the ranch, these coats were built to support your vision.

Built With the Community in Mind

At the heart of these RedM custom horse models is something more than just a desire to create — it’s our love for you, our community. Every detail — from the breeds we chose to the subtle curve of a cheekbone or the slope of a shoulder — was decided with one question in mind: Will this matter to our players?

The answer was always yes. Because we know how much your horses mean to you. On The Tackroom, a horse isn’t just a mount — it’s your partner, your storyline, your emotional anchor in the world we’re building together. Whether you’re competing in events, caring for your horse at the barn, or simply riding into the sunset with friends, your horse is a living part of your experience.

That’s why our dev team didn’t rush this process. We spent countless hours testing, tweaking, and reworking these models until they felt right. Not just technically — but emotionally. We obsessed over proportions, studied breed references, and listened to feedback, because we know how important immersion is to you.

These horses weren’t made to be just background assets. They were made to be companions, with presence and personality. They’re designed to feel like your horse — one you’ll remember, name, bond with, and ride for a long time.

This update is for the players who name every horse, who take screenshots during golden hour, who show up to trail rides with matching tack, and who care as deeply about their virtual horses as we do.

You inspire us — and these horses are our way of saying thank you.

The Future of RedM Horse Customization

These three breeds mark an exciting milestone for The Tackroom — the first time fully custom horses have been brought into our world, crafted specifically for our players. They represent not just a technical achievement, but a reflection of the care, thought, and collaboration that define our server.

While we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished, our focus for now is on letting the community fully enjoy and explore these horses. We want to give everyone time to connect with them, build stories around them, and discover how they shape the world of The Tackroom.

As we continue developing, our attention will shift to other core features and experiences that enhance the server as a whole. We’re not closing the door on future custom breeds or coats — but for now, we’re excited to see what our players create with the Spotted Draft, Hanoverian, and Quarter Horse.

This is a big step forward, and we’re proud to help raise the bar for RedM horse customization — one where care, accuracy, and immersion always come first.

Join The Tackroom and experience RedM custom horses like never before. Whether you’re new to the world of RedM horse servers or a longtime rider looking for something fresh, our custom Spotted Draft, Hanoverian, and Quarter Horse breeds are ready to meet you.
